Nursery Project: Transform your Baby's Cards

Here's the final piece!

I love receiving cards and I always find myself keeping them in a box or drawer somewhere and never looking at them again.  I love the memories they represent and so I wanted to find a way to preserve Isabella's birth cards. So finally I got some time to work on this little DIY project. Its very simple!
I thought it would be a fun, colourful piece and I am really happy with how it turned out.

 Here's how I made it:
I used a piece of poster board to make a circle  shape I liked. It took me about three tries to get the right shape and size. Once I had the tracer ready, I began to find my favorite part of each card and used the circle to trace a circle  onto the area I wanted to cut out.  Then, I used sharp scissors to cut out a piece of the card.

Once I had all of the circles  cut out, I used the insert of the IKEA Ribba frame to arrange the circles to see how many rows I could fit. I had more cards than I could fit, so I kept the rest of the cards stored into the Baby Book.

I then stacked the circles in the order I wanted to have them and then I affixed the poster board to the matting of the IKEA Ribba frame and got out my glue stick.

You can arrange in a different way or use other shapes like hearts or stars.
Happy DIY! XXX

Our Weekend

Here is some few memories from our weekend spent in Norfolk. We have celebrated Jason's Nan's Beryl's 80th Birthday! On a lovely and sunny Saturday we had an Afternoon Tea at Jason's parents to celebrate the occasion and finished with an amazing lunch on Sunday booked at Beechwood Hotel Restaurant in North Walsham, Norfolk. Happy 80th. Birthday Nan!

P.S. I'm due with Isabella's 7 month update post, unfortunately one of our computers broke down so all my photos from her 7 month photo shoot have still to be recovered. Hopefully all will be sorted by the end of this week. xxxx

Pumpkin Festival 2014

Love Autumn.... love anything that smells like a pumpkin and spices,  anything with lots of Autumnal colors, love jumpers , scarfs and cosy socks...Maybe because I was born in Autumn :)))
xxxx
Last Saturday on a most rainy day of the week  after a few attempts we have managed to ''pinch from the sky'' a few hours of beautiful gorgeous weather and drove to Pumpkin Festival. Yep, that's England where Sun and Rain can pop up at any time of the day!
Every year we watch the biggest grown pumpkin winner, browse true the stalls full of unique little handmade gifts and drink local produce apple cider. Oh, and I had some pumpkin curry! The most spiciest curry....ever...
Isabella and Mummy got some photos taken at the Scarecrow Avenue and we all listen to the live music.
After we back home little baby Isabella had lots of cuddles with her Nana Suzanna and Grandad Edie.
We had roasted chicken for dinner. To finish the evening off I got a little surprise from Jason's parents: an early BIRTHDAY CAKE!
i LOVE Autumn and LOVE October month the most!
